Yuugi was gone, but he wasn't gone from the lab entirely.

There was no message, no contact, no nothing from the boy, so how was anyone to know? How was anyone to know that the boy was still around somewhere, being experimented on far away from everyone else?

It was another experiment for the 'light bringers', deep within the laboratory that simulated the outside.

What was it? It didn't matter. They all blended together, all conga lines of suffering and desperation and pain and revival and even more pain. The glass always taunted them, the scientists far out of reach...

Except there was something different about tonight.

For one, everyone had their powers back for this 'experiment'.

Second, if Logan paid attention, he might be able to see something on the other side:

Someone familiar.

Yuugi Mutou was in fact alive and well in this place. He sat on what looked to be some kind of dais, hooked up with sensors and electrodes and in clear agony as the scientists flipped switches and took notes on their clipboards.

Occasionally, they even sliced his body with what looked to be razor blades, only for the wounds to quickly heal as though they were never there at all.

He struggled against his bonds, but it was no use. He couldn't get out. The bonds were too strong.
